The LEGO group announced net profit for first semester 2008 was 564 million kroner ($113.5 million), up from 212 million kroner in 2007.

it's up more than doubled because of strong sales of LEGO city and LEGO starwars theme in united states and northern europe.

revenue in a semester through June 30 was 3.5 billion kroner ($704 million), up from 2.96 billion kroner in the same period last year.

"The result demonstrates once again the great strength of our classic product lines and the importance of combining these with new strong licenses," Lego Chief Executive Joergen Vig Knudstorp said.

in order to promote beijing olympic games in 2008, HKLUG has been invited by local HK property company to make an olympic theme exhibition.
the project has planned months before exhibition.
the exhibition was held in grand century place HK until 31th of august 2008.
the model included bird nest stadium, water cube swimming stadium, equestrianism, olympic village, ancient greek and other themes.
